Piper came to us from Indiana. She was found as a stray in the middle of a terrible cold spell. She was wandering in a State park in Indiana, found by park workers. She was starving and nearly unable to move because of the cold. She is a 2 year old. She was taken in and seen by a vet, she slowly began to get healthy and return to herself. She was sent up to us for further care and to find a home. At that time there were several other dogs we were working on that had been strays in the cold. Winter can be a terrible time. She was adopted by a nice couple from Alabama and hopefully she will have a wonderful life away from the cold.
