We originaly became involved with rescue because of the death of our beloved first dog Jake. He was killed by a terrible disease called Blasto. He died very quickly and we had lots of guilt about how he suffered so we got involved with NBRAN. We thought about getting involved with our local shelter but the delay was very long, so we joined NBRAN. We have no children so it was pretty easy at first to find the time to do this. That is how we got involved in rescue. We really enjoy the breed and like to help dogs in need.
